PRAWN ROAST( kerala style)

A simple dish. Easy to prepare. Taste good and looks good. Try it out!!!!
Prawn Roast Recipe
Ingredients:
  • Prawns cleaned – 250g
  • Oil – 6 tbsp
  • Onion – 2 big
  • Kashmiri Chilli Powder – ½ tsp
  • Green Chilli – 3
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder – ½ tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
  • Lemon juice – ½ tsp
  • Curry leaves – 10
To Marinate:
  • Chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Kashmiri chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 tsp
  • Salt
Method:
  1. Mix all the ingredients to marinate. Add little water into it and make it to a paste.
  2. Add cleaned prawns into it and keep it in the fridge for half an hour.
  3. Heat oil in a nonstick pan and roast the prawns in a low-medium heat until its golden brown in colour. Remove it from the pan
  4. To the pan add sliced onion, curry leaves.
  5. When onion turns golden brown in colour add ginger garlic paste, green chilli and cook for 4-5 min.
  6. Add kashmiri chilli, turmeric and coriander powder and cook for 2-3 min.
  7. Add roasted prawns, lemon juice and mix well.
  8. Cook for another 4-5 min and serve hot.
Tips:
  • Always cook prawns in low- medium heat.
  • Kashmiri chilli powder gives good red colour to your dish.
